Location: Cat Tien National Park, Vietnam.

Brief: We provided construction consultancy and project management to turn an old rangers station into an eco lodge on the fringes of a tropical forest in southern Vietnam. A very challenging assignment due to its remote location and only local labour available with limited power tools and modern materials. We transformed the original rangers station into the main lodge for the reception, restaurant, kitchen and offices. We then constructed elevated walkways through the trees to minimise damage to the forest floor to the accommodation units which consisted of either luxury safari tents or traditional wooden houses. The wooden houses where sourced locally and redesigned and modernised. The tents where shipped in from South Africa and we fitted them out with on suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and luxury furniture.
